People are BORN with a purpose! We cannot work in order to be selected by God for any office in the Kingdom of God. It is handed over to us by the Lord. However, the Kingdom of God economic model is different from that of the world. The reward for a small work done faithfully for God is the same as the reward done for a big work. What we consider to be small may have a bigger impact in the eyes of God.

Some however are born with special missions and assignments. To be anointed is the first step towards the fulfilment of the divine Calling. There are two levels of anointing which are needed to fulfill the Purpose of life. The first level of anointing is when we accept Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. We need this first level anointing so that when we are taught the Bible, we may understand and comprehend the Word of God which acts as a foundation to our relationship with the Lord.

The second level of anointing comes as a result of your encounter with the Holy Spirit and that is called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. To have of the Holy Spirit in us, we have to learn and relearn the  spiritual lessons in our daily walk with the Lord which helps us in our spiritual elevation. However, baptism of the Holy Spirit, not necessarily should be a physical feeling as mentioned in John-20:21. Lord breathed on the disciples and commanded them to go and preach about the kingdom of God, and then they received the Holy Spirit. So in this case, we see that the Holy Spirit came upon them through a breath and through the Word while in Acts1:4 we see that Lord Jesus tells the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We see here that the basic level of anointing is extended for everyone, but for the second step, we have to keep praying and waiting on the Holy Spirit. One of the visible signs of the second level Baptism is when we speak in tongues. However, some do not speak in tongues but instead have visions or prophetic words, so we see here that it is the Holy Spirit that decides the type of encounter that a person should have when they are filled with the same. After we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we get the power in our spirit to overcome the habits of the flesh.

Let’s analyse this verse: God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with him (Acts- 10:38). There are two aspects here that we need to emphasise: Lord Jesus Christ was anointed  with the Holy Spirit and with power. The Greek word for power is called DUNAMIS. It means potential or  ability or  power. There are two ways to receive DUNAMIS, one is the power that is delegated to us because of overcoming a realm or temptation of Satan. God will help us in this process by sending anointed servants of God in our lives and over a period of time, through their ministry, we will receive our deliverance . However, demonic oppression can continue from the atmosphere so in such case, we have to fight against these demons, and as a result of our overcoming that evil spiritual realm, we will be rewarded DUNAMIS. Brother Geo stated that he received many of the spiritual weapons because he overcome a certain level of Satan’s kingdom. Second way of delegation of this power is through commissioning or appointment to do certain work of God . We see in Matthew 4:1, that the Lord was tempted in the wilderness. All the days of his 40 day fast, he was tempted by different demonic realms like the spirit of anger, the spirit of hunger, the spirit of lust, the spirit of greed etc when the entire army failed, then on the 40th day, Lucifer came and himself tempted and failed in his temptation. That is when Jesus gets his DUNAMIS , and later goes to Galilee to start his Ministry .This is how it is in our spiritual journey, if we need to climb higher dimensions of the spirit, the first thing that we need to do is overcome the Temptations. So this is very important that we align our life according to the spiritual principles in order to get victory over Satan. There is a spiritual warfare that every servant of God has to not only go through it, but overcome it.

It is a false assumption that the disciples had experienced only once the baptism of the Holy Spirit, however it is seen in the scriptures that the disciples had multiple experiences of the baptism of the Holy Spirit which we can be seen in Acts chapter 4. Each time, the Holy Spirit Baptises a person, it is done for a certain purpose or for a level of empowerment. The closer you walk with the Lord, the more frequent will be your encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Different levels of Anointing

In a Ezekiel chapter 47, we see that there are different levels to the Holy Spirit anointing. The angle level of water represents 10% of the Holy Spirit while the knee level means submission of certain things in your life, but not complete submitted. The water reaching the waist level is when people begin ministries and do Lord’s work. This is where Holy Spirit starts to control and access most of the areas of our life.

Fourth level anointing is where a person is fully immersed which means every area of our life is completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit. Many of us are not used by God because we are not willing to be broken by God. Only when we are malleable will then the Holy Spirit can build us up. That is why the scripture says that all those who are led by the spirit of God are the sons of God, and so in the last days, God is preparing an army, an entire army of warrior brides who are fully immersed and led by the Holy Spirit, fully yielded,  submitted and surrendered to the Lord.

How does DUNAMIS power look like?

Firstly, when you get the Dunamis power, powerful Warrior Angels, Angels of healing, miracle working Angels will be assigned to you. For you to fight against the wicked principalities and satanic realms:

1.You need to have the permission of the Father God to fight.

2.We must have the covering of the Father God to fight.

3.We must have scrolls from heaven to trigger the fight

4.We must have special weapons of warfare.

If we don’t have these four things, we will die in the process of fighting with the demonic spirits as we don’t have the permission nor the protection of the Lord with us.

When we complete and do the assignments of the Lord, more and more Angels will be delegated to us not only at the beginning of the ministry but throughout our ministry as we complete the purposes of the Lord God in our lives. This is the second way we increase in Dunamis. The third way of knowing whether we have the Dunamis is when God gives us the access to various kinds of spiritual weapons, which vary according to its power (For more on spiritual weapons, do check our blog on mysteries of spiritual weapons)

The way our Master Lord Jesus Christ came out of the wilderness with Dunamis we as followers need  to overcome the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life to reach the different levels of DUNAMIS POWER in our Christian life so that we may be able to accomplish the Divine Purpose for which we have been created.
